This Jazz Standard written by Juan Tizol in 1942 was originally made famous by the Ellington Band. Numerous takes have put their own spin on this tribute to ‘Perdido St’ in New Orleans — but none with the Latin vigor of Perez Prado’s Mambo recording from the 1956’s ‘Mambo By The King’.
