As one of the most recognisable themes in Classical music, the ‘William Tell Overture’ has endured as a classic melody for almost 200 years. Rossinni’s theme was originally written as the opening to the Opera ‘William Tell’, but has it’s place in the hearts of many as the theme to TV’s the ‘Lone Ranger’ or as a comical number by Spike Jones and many other performers. This is a fun, but challenging piece that includes many advanced solo passages. Our arrangement is perfectly suited from Big Band down to the Sax and Clarinet Quartets.
