Lowell George & Little Feat - featuring Lowell George and Paul Barrere

Have you heard about the place …

One of the best selling charts here at PepperHorn has been a groovy classic written by Lowell George for his 70’s band Little Feat.  Still in action today, even after the death of Lowelll in 1979 (at age 34) the bands groovy hits live on in popular memory.

A Little About Little Feat

Little Feat formed in 1969 as a collaboration between Lowell George and keyboardist Bill Payne.  George, who was working with Frank Zappa in his Mothers Of Invention band was encouraged to form his own group by Zappa.  Frank set the new band up with their first contract with Warner Brothers.  The ensuing mix of Blues, R&B and southern-fried Soul resulted in a string of hits and classic live albums.

They Call The Spanish Moon

The seedy bar of your dreams — the Spanish Moon is the scene of this groovy encounter.  A slow, funk inspired and bluesy groove over C#m sets a great base for loads of improv and funky horn backings.  A great chart to play with everything from a couple horns to a full Big Band!
